Since going live in July, the Bronx RHIO has received consent forms to exchange data from more than 4,000 patients, the organization has announced.
The RHIO also has trained 79 early-adopter clinicians and has 55 care locations able to access patient data. Another 70 sites have "view only" access to data.
Initial data being exchanged includes laboratory results; prescribed and dispensed medications; diagnoses and procedures; encounters; and demographic information.
Technology partners for the RHIO are dbMotion Ltd., Emerging Health Information Technology, Initiate Systems Inc. and SureScripts-RxHub. The RHIO has received $13 million in state grants and a $132,288 grant from the federal Health Resources and Services Administration.
