Dossia Adds MediKeeper PHR

The Dossia employer coalition will offer to employees and dependents the personal health records software of MediKeeper Inc., San Diego.

The vendor is a partner of Microsoft HealthVault and has access to a range of consumer-oriented health information management tools. Dossia comprises eight large corporations cooperating to bring their employees PHRs and other information management applications. PHRs, for instance, can be populated with such data as patient history, screenings, lab results, medications and medical device readings.

Dossia founding members are AT&T Inc., Applied Materials Inc., BP America, Cardinal Health Inc., Intel Corp., Pitney Bowes, sanofi-aventis and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Wal-Mart is using the PHR software of WebMD Health Corp., New York. More information is available at dossia.org and medikeeper.com.
