Practice Fusion Inc., vendor of free, advertiser-supported physician practice management and electronic health records software, has introduced a personal health records module.
The Patient Fusion PHR is built on the Force.com platform of Salesforce.com Inc., a San Francisco-based vendor of Web-based customer relationship management software. Salesforce.com last August invested in Practice Fusion, also based in San Francisco.
Upon patient request and physician approval, Practice Fusion will populate a PHR with relevant data from a patient's EHR, and automatically update the data. Patients also can enter additional information into the PHR, schedule appointments, request prescription refills and e-mail their physician.
More information is available at practicefusion.com.
