Health payer software vendor The TriZetto Group Inc. will launch free personal health records software for insurers to offer to their covered members. The Newport Beach, Calif.-based vendor will license the software to clients at no charge.
Insurers may populate PHR with relevant data already in their TriZetto information systems, such as demographics, prescription history, and diagnoses and procedures.
The vendor initially will make the PHR software available to users of the Facets enterprise administrative system at the end of 2009. Clients using the QNXT and QicLink systems will follow.
TriZetto's customers cover 110 million Americans, according to the company. More information is available at trizetto.com.
