As Dr. Stanley Huff describes in the article, "All of this is governed by data and by what we can measure," added Huff. Intermountain Healthcare has 40 dedicated full-time employees dedicated to analytics, including 29 data architects and 11 business intelligence developers, who are experts in statistical processes and the visualization of data." Unstructured data must be searchable to lend usable information to clinicians, researchers, and ancillary staff members. Training is also required to contribute, access, and make meaningful use of the information. None of these issues were discussed in this marvelous yet sparsely informative article.
