Suite Aids in HIPAA 5010 Compliance

Edifecs Inc., a vendor of software to verify compliance with health care transactions standards, has introduced a suite of services to aid providers, payers, clearinghouses and software vendors in preparing for the HIPAA 5010 transactions set. The Bellevue, Wash.-based company's Edifecs5010 Compliance Suite includes:
*an online testing and certification service to support testing of data files, debugging, and questions/answers to achieve compliance;
* progress scorecards and descriptive error messages to clearly show reasons for compliance failures;
* access to subject matter experts; and
* a certification logo following successful completion of certification testing.
