The HIE landscape is indeed rich and complex with many innovators attempting a diversity of solutions. In an industry where no one has yet demonstrably cracked the code, many organizations trying many approaches is actually a good thing. While the HIE attrition rate is admittedly brutal, it is not significantly more so than in the high-tech startup world where a recent study showed startups have an eight percent chance of success.
