New this year is the Clinical & Business Intelligence Symposium featuring six comprehensive sessions. Dave Garets, a former CIO and now senior advisor at The Advisory Board Company consultancy, will give the opening keynote, focusing on a changing industry landscape and what’s needed to thrive during the next three years. John Glaser, also a former CIO and now CEO at Siemens Health Services, will present the closing keynote taking a futurist look down the next five years and his vision of the impact of population health management, analytics and new software.
Sandwiched between the keynotes are four sessions getting into the nitty-gritty of health care analytics. They include in-depth looks at project management and the scope of these initiatives, defining needs and understanding the data “source of truth” in an organization, how to make analytics a business tool with invested users and not just an I.T. project, and controlling and maintaining analytics initiatives to assure effectiveness and improvement.
The symposium, costing an extra fee of $285, starts at 8 a.m. on March 3.
