Three large group practices in southeast Michigan will jointly develop a physician-driven health information exchange.
The organizations--United Physicians P.C., Olympia Medical Services and Continuum Management Services--total more than 3,000 physicians. The HIE, called My One Health Information Exchange, will use platform technology from the Covisint subsidiary of Detroit-based Compuware Corp.
Initial services will include the exchange of laboratory results and eligibility verification transactions. The HIE also will offer electronic prescribing software.
