The Health Information Exchange of Montana will use data integration and portal technology from Informatics Corporation of America, Nashville, Tenn.
The HIE, which involves six hospitals and 25 clinics, covers 45,000 square miles in western Montana. The vendors A3Align Solution software, developed at Vanderbilt Medical Center, enables the collection of patient data from disparate information systems for authorized access via a Web portal.
Montana providers also will use dashboard software from the vendor that enables the tracking of immunizations, annual exams and other treatments as well as specific clinical metrics, such as hemoglobin levels.
Other users of the vendors technology include Mid-South eHealth Alliance, an HIE in Tennessee; and Bassett Healthcares four hospitals and 27 clinics in Cooperstown, N.Y.
