Bryn Mawr, Pa.-based Main Line Health has purchased technology from Warminster, Pa.-based MobileMD to implement a health information exchange across its five hospitals and affiliated physician practices.

The vendor offers its technology via the application service provider computing model to enable health care organizations to quickly establish HIEs without having to purchase new hardware or software or designate staffing for implementation or maintenance.

Main Line Health will use the technology to transmit lab results, radiology reports and transcribed reports in real time directly into group practices’ electronic health records systems.
