Consultancy, Open Source Firm Target HIEs

Consulting firm Healthcare Innovative Solutions has partnered with Misys Open Source Solutions to offer the expertise and technology to build health information exchanges.

Seville, Ohio-based Healthcare Innovative Solutions specializes in clinical systems preparation from planning through implementation. The company also conducts a number of regulatory planning and assessment services covering HIPAA, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, security under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

New York-based Misys Open Source Solutions is a unit of Misys plc, London. The unit is assisting in the building of an HIE using open source applications in Hartford, Conn.
