Two more health information technology vendors have come out with new services to aid providers in dealing with the H1NI influenza virus.

Practice Fusion Inc., vendor of free, advertiser-supported electronic health records for physician practices, has identified approximately 300,000 patients across its client base that are the most eligible for the H1N1 vaccination. Physician clients have been notified and given information to help them order vaccines from state agencies, or direct patients to locations giving the vaccinations. The San Francisco-based vendor will conduct periodic updates. More information is available at practicefusion.com.

Verona, N.J.-based LiveProcess has introduced the H1N1 Event Log, a Web-based emergency preparedness and incident management application. It consolidates H1N1 news from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Department of Health and Human Services, World Health Organization, state health departments, and other agencies. The event log also enables the exchange of information among organizations, such as current H1N1 status and available supplies and inventory, and supports the conducting of pandemic flu drills. More information is available at liveprocess.com.
