Quality Systems Inc. has promoted Patrick Cline, president of its NextGen Healthcare Information Systems subsidiary, to president and chief strategy officer at QSI. Scott Decker, senior vice president at NextGen, has been promoted to president of the unit.

Steven Plochocki has served as QSI's president and CEO, and will remain CEO. Cline, who founded NextGen (formerly Clinitec) in 1994, will report to Plochocki.

Decker, who joined NextGen in 2007, will report to Philip Kaplan, COO of Quality Systems. Decker previously was chair and CEO at Healthvision Inc., and served as vice president of VHA Inc.'s health information technologies business unit.
