EHR Vendor Adds Electronic Faxing

Electronic health records software vendor Sevocity, San Antonio, has integrated the Sfax electronic fax software of SecureCare Technologies Inc., Austin, Texas.

The integration means a physician office can receive faxes electronically and have them placed in physician or staff e-mail inboxes. The faxes are accessible within the EHR and also can populate a patient’s record.

The Sfax software also enables electronically faxing patient records from within the EHR with automated generation of a digital certificate and a physician’s electronic signature, according to the vendors.
