West Palm Beach, Fla.-based Metropolitan Health Networks Inc. will implement integrated practice management and electronic health records software from eClinicalWorks Inc., Westborough, Mass.
Metropolitan Health, called Metcare, has 12 physicians in nine internal medicine offices serving 33,000 patients from 18 counties. The practice's vendor selection process took 10 months and full implementation is expected within 18 months.
Use of the technology will support Metcare's transition to the medical home model of care. The goal is to be able to see a patient in any Metcare office and have a complete medical record of care in any of the offices available to clinicians, according to the group practice.
Physicians also will have remote access to patient data. More information is available at metcare.com and eclinicalworks.com.
