Heritage Valley Health System in Beaver, Pa., will implement the Enterprise Electronic Health Record software (formerly TouchWorks) of Allscripts for its 150 employed physicians.

The two-hospital delivery system has used the Chicago-based vendor's electronic prescribing software for several years, with 150 users creating more than 50,000 prescriptions each month. The hospitals also use Allscripts' care management software.

Heritage Valley and its 400 physician partners serve four counties in western Pennsylvania, as well as parts of eastern Ohio and the West Virginia panhandle.

More information is available at heritagevalley.org and allscripts.com.
