Physician claims clearinghouse Navicure Inc. has several new functions in an upgraded version of its claims management software for physician practices.

A new report on corrected claims in Navicure 4.0 enables users to update their practice management system to prevent future errors, according to the Duluth, Ga.-based vendor. New payment analysis reports enable trending and benchmarking of several key metrics. These include payer denials, most reimbursed procedures, common CPT codes and other areas potentially useful in preparing for insurer contract negotiations.

For offices using a practice management system that has partnered with Navicure, a new tool enables batch eligibility verification of patients prior to a visit. Further, a workflow function enables managers to assign tasks to individual staff members.
