Mich. Blues to Do Medicare Eligibility

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan this summer will expand functionality of its provider Web portal to enable online eligibility and benefit determination transactions for Medicare beneficiaries.

The Detroit-based plan for several years has offered the transactions via the portal for patients covered under its various Blues programs and Medicaid.

More than 90% of physician practices and all hospitals in Michigan use the provider portal, according to the plan. For more information, click here.
