General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., has implemented the Essentris inpatient clinical documentation system from CliniComp Intl., San Diego.
The system, installed in all clinical areas, includes a computerized provider order entry module and a data repository. Implementation took four months, says Veronica Robinson, chief of the clinical systems branch at the 65-bed hospital.
CliniComp has served Department of Defense facilities for many years. The implementation at Fort Leonard Wood is part of a recent contract to expand use of Essentris to 36 additional facilities over a two-year period.
