Omnilink Systems, Alpharetta, Ga., has joined forces with the Alzheimer’s Association to introduce Comfort Zone, a location management system for Alzheimer’s patients.

Using GPS and cellular technologies with online mapping, the new application enables family members to determine the location of a person with Alzheimer’s. The Comfort Zone system works in conjunction with a number of location devices already on the market.

If the person with Alzheimer’s travels beyond pre-set zones, family members receive alerts via text or e-mail. Family members can determine the location within two minutes by initiating a “find me” or longer “follow me” session using a secure Web site.

More information is available at omnilink.com.
