Aetna Live With New Provider Portal

Aetna Inc. has launched a new provider Web site using the NaviNet portal technology of NaviMedix Inc., Cambridge, Mass.

The vendor is hosting the site at https://navinet.navimedix.com. Only one username and password is needed to access the Aetna site or those of other insurers that have contracted with the vendor.

Transactions available on the site include claims submission, claims status, real-time eligibility verification and benefits determination, explanation of benefits and electronic remittance advice. Users also can access claim payment policies and Aetna’s education site. The site supports role-based assess to information.
