Bachmann Software and Services LLC, Sparta, N.J., has introduced software that expands hand-held computing services available from PatientKeeper Inc., Brighton, Mass.
The PatientKeeper Personal software for Palm hand-held computing devices enables physicians to collect or access patient data at the point of care. The MedReporter software from Bachmann enables a physician to create customized summary reports of data pulled by PatientKeeper from disparate information systems. This enables a physician to pull up a summary of a patient's lab results, prescribed drugs, order status, demographics and clinical notes in a single report. MedReporter also enables printing the report from a hand-held device by beaming it to a printer with infrared capabilities.
PatientKeeper is introducing a new version of its software that integrates with other vendor clinical systems, including Micromedex Inc., Greenwood Springs, Colo., and Cerner Corp., Kansas City, Mo. Micromedex and Health Data Management are separate units of Thomson Corp.
