AHA Endorses Notification System

The AHA Solutions Inc. unit of the American Hospital Association has endorsed the Notifications & Reminders Solution from Premiere Global Services Inc.

The Atlanta-based vendor's software is designed to integrate with various clinical information systems to enable hospitals to create several types of reminders and notifications for staff and patients. It then issues the reminders, and notifications via e-mail, voice mail, fax or text message.

Some possible reminders include:

*Appointment reminders for patients that include time and location;
*Medication reminders for patients to take their medications, based on regimens provided by their physicians;
*Staffing notifications to help the hospital communicate shift and staffing changes to physicians, nurses and support staff; and
*Payment reminders for patients to facilitate faster payment.
