GE Expands its PACS Footprint

GE Healthcare has acquired Dynamic Imaging LLC, vendor of the Web-based IntegradWeb picture archiving and communication system.

The deal expands GE’s PACS business, now focused on larger hospitals, because Allendale, N.J.-based Dynamic Imaging sells to community hospitals, physician practices and outpatient imaging centers. IntegradWeb’s architecture also enables radiologists to remotely access patient information, which is a new capability for Waukesha, Wis.-based GE Healthcare.

IntegradWeb is a multiple winner of the Best in KLAS award for ambulatory PACS from KLAS Enterprises LLC, an Orem, Utah-based vendor research firm. The awards are based on customer satisfaction scores. Dynamic Imaging in May 2007 introduced a radiology information system integrated with the PACS.
