Opus Healthcare Goes Mobile

Austin, Texas-based Opus Healthcare Solutions Inc. has released software designed to offer physicians mobile access to patient lab results and diagnostic reports. The OpusMobility application can be used on smart phones or PDAs running over a Wi-Fi or mobile phone network.

The vendor will market the mobile system as part of its OpusClinicalSuite, a series of Web-based clinical applications, including order management, computerized physician order entry, medication administration and clinical documentation systems. The technology also uses an HL7/XML interface engine that enables it to collect disparate data from other applications within a health care organization.
