Five-hospital Mercy Health Partners of Southwestern Ohio will offer ambulatory electronic health records software to its affiliated physicians in the Cincinnati region.

The delivery system, which includes four long-term care centers, a retirement community, four urgent care centers, home health services and numerous clinics, has licensed the PrimeSuite EHR from Greenway Medical Technologies Inc., Carrollton, Ga.

Mercy Health will offer the software via the application service provider computing model. It also will provide financial assistance to physicians under last year’s federal rules that amended the Stark Act to permit I.T. donation programs.

Financial terms of the arrangement with affiliated physicians were not immediately disclosed. About 4,000 physicians are eligible for the program. More information is available at e-mercy.com and greenwaymedical.com.
