Perspective Gets an Academic Deal

Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in Richmond will implement document imaging and management software enterprisewide.

Anchored by 779-bed VCU Medical Center, the delivery system will use the ImageNow application of Perspective Software Inc., Shawnee, Kan. Contract terms were not disclosed.

The university will use the technology in its admissions and accounts payable departments to digitize paper documents and place them in a data repository. Software within ImageNow will categorize the data and attach it to appropriate patient data in Virginia Commonwealth’s financial/administrative information system from GE Healthcare, Waukesha, Wis.
