HealthFusion, which operates a Web-based clearinghouse, has received full accreditation from the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission.

The industry-created commission accredits clearinghouses, value-added networks and other transactions processors for meeting more than 150 specific criteria for quality performance in five areas. The categories are privacy and confidentiality, technical performance, business practices, resources, and data security.

HealthFusion supports such transactions as claims submission, claims status, eligibility verification, electronic remittance advice/electronic explanation of benefits, and referral/pre-certification. More information is available at healthfusion.com and ehnac.org.
