Neptune, N.J.-based Meridian Health will implement across its three-hospital delivery system a suite of medical imaging technology from Emageon Inc., Birmingham, Ala.

The contract includes picture archiving and communication systems, image visualization and diagnostic decision support software, and Web portal technology enabling remote access by referring physicians.

The sale is the first for the vendor that includes both its enterprisewide radiology package and cardiology suite. Contract terms were not disclosed. Additional information is available at emageon.com.
