Deepfile Corp., a vendor of network file management services, has changed its name and business strategy. The Austin, Texas-based company, now called STOREDIQ Inc., will focus on helping organizations monitor the content in data.

The company is negotiating to sell its previous line of business or have a third party manage it. The company has launched STOREDIQ 3.0, a platform designed to discover, protect and manage computer files and e-mail.

The first application to run on the platform is the HIPAA Solutions Pack. The software scans the internal content of files and e-mails, enabling the classification of unstructured data. The classification is used to enforce an organization's file and e-mail security policies, such as blocking an outgoing e-mail message that contains protected health information. New York-based PricewaterhouseCoopers consulted with the company to create the HIPAA lexicon, which is the list of keywords in a file or e-mail that warrant intervention.

The software also can detect and block the downloading of sexually-explicit material and music or video files, and prevent files containing intellectual property from being accessed or transmitted by unauthorized persons, according to the vendor. The company intends to introduce other products for the financial services industry, general business, and other sectors. For more information, visit www.storediq.com.

A major success factor for accountable care organizations will be linking caregivers across the spectrum of care delivery. If history is any indication, that's going to be an industrywide struggle.
