Game Trains Office Staff on Security

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology has released a video game to train health care providers and staff members on contingency planning to secure protected health information. The game follows an earlier release of a video game to train on basic privacy and security issues. The new game, "CyberSecure: Your Medical Practice," covers various components of a contingency plan, which is required under the HIPAA security rule. Players of the contingency planning game are confronted by privacy and security challenges that often arise in a small practice.
