The Enterprise Services unit of Hewlett-Packard will implement a suite of real-time location system applications throughout the Department of Veterans Affairs medical network under a five-year contract worth up to $543 million.The contract covers 152 hospitals as well as outpatient pharmacy facilities, with multiple subcontractors working with HP, including Intelligent InSites, OTASystems, CenTrak and Wavemark. HP as the prime contractor will handle delivery of technologies, program management, operations planning, implementation management, related hardware and software, and site readiness.
