A compensation survey by Chicago-based Sullivan, Cotter and Associates, Inc. found modest increases in manager and executive salaries in 2012. Among health systems and hospitals that participated in both 2011 and 2012, base salaries increased on average by 2.8 percent and 2.5 percent, respectively. Increases are consistent with the projected 2012 salary increases for health systems; however, increases for hospitals are slightly lower than the projected 2012 salary increases of 2.9 percent. More than 300 health systems and 980 hospitals participated in the survey.
