The centers for medicare and Medicaid Services is reminding physicians of the process this year for attesting meaningful use for 2011. This includes getting all remaining Medicare claims submitted to assist in meeting the meaningful use threshold of $24,000 in Part B charges. "On December 31, 2011, the reporting year ended for EPs who participated in the Medicare EHR Incentive Program in 2011. Participating EPs must have completed their 90-day reporting period by the end of 2011. However, eligible professionals have until February 29, 2012, to actually register and attest to meeting meaningful use."
