Grumman to Build MU Incentives Database

Reston, Va.-based Northrop Grumman Corp. will develop a data repository enabling the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to track incentive payments to providers for meaningful use of electronic health records. The contract for the National Level Repository is valued at $34 million in the first year with options for up to five-and-one-half additional years. Subcontractors to Northrup Grumman include Companion Data Services in Columbia, S.C.; and InnovTech in Ashburn, Va. The contract was awarded under an enterprise system development contract that Northrup Grumman received from CMS in 2007.
