Melanie Feliciano is a board member for the Electronic Signature and Records Association (ESRA), the premier the premier the premier global trade association focused on the advancement of electronic signatures and records.� She is chief legal officer for Carson, California-based DocMagic, Inc., a provider of solutions for the national mortgage industry�s most pressing document production needs.Feliciano is also editor-in-chief of DocMagic�s monthly, electronic compliance newsletter, The Compliance Wizard. In her role as chief legal officer, she manages the Legal and Compliance Department, oversees, negotiates, and prepares various agreements involving DocMagic�s customers and strategic partners; manages DocMagic�s risk; and handles legal matters. Feliciano also supports DocMagic�s chief compliance officer and the rest of the compliance team with respect to DocMagic�s compliance products and services.Prior to joining DocMagic, Inc., Feliciano was a senior associate attorney at the Los Angeles law firm of Swedelson & Gottlieb from 1999 to 2004, where she dealt with a variety of issues affecting homeowners associations. Her work with homeowners associations involved counseling boards of directors on compliance matters and their fiduciary duties to the association and its members.From 1994 to 1999, Feliciano was senior associate attorney at the Los Angeles law firm of Robert Smylie & Associates, where she counseled a diverse client base that included financial institutions and real estate developers with respect to regulatory and compliance matters, REOs and real estate development issues.Feliciano graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas with a B.B.A in Accounting. She received her Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. Melanie is licensed with the State Bars of California and Texas.
