Prior to joining Interthinx, Jim Ronan assisted the FBI in the development of the Suspicious Mortgage Activities Report form (SMARt), as well as participated with the FBI and various U.S. Attorneys offices in the identification and investigation of mortgage fraud schemes. Ronan was a member of the FBI working group on identity theft and mortgage fraud in Washington, D.C. His level of experience with the FBI and specialized fraud investigation adds to the breadth of the Interthinx industry relations team. As a member of the BITS loan fraud working group in Washington D.C., Ronan contributed to the BITS Fraud Prevention Strategies White Paper that was presented to the lending industry. With 18 years of experience in the industry, his background also includes positions as vice president of Quality Control Servicing Review for Aurora Loan Services and senior investigator for Radian Guaranty, where he performed investigations involving complex fraud cases and matters that are expected to go to litigation. Additionally, Ronan currently serves as vice chair of the MBA Fraud and Ethics subcommittee.
