Editorial Calendar

All of Health Data Management’s stories are written by our team of experienced, professional journalists; this is a factor that distinguishes us in the field. As a result, we do not accept any manuscripts from outside sources.

However, we always welcome story ideas. For a case study, we need a health care provider or payer organization that has been using (not beta testing or other types of testing, but actually using) an information technology with numerous end users for at least six months. That way the organizations’ executives (especially the CIO) and/or caregivers can discuss results, like how the technology has helped the organization improve care and/or trim costs.

For the most part, we have a 10-week lead time. For example, HDM writers are looking for sources, angles and interviews for stories for a June issue in mid-March. You can find a list of the main stories for each issue of the magazine in the Editorial Calendar posted on the magazine’s Web site: www.healthdatamanagement.com.
